What are the guidelines of knowing whether to replace the harmonic balancer or not during a rebuild? Is it a visual test to see if the rubber is in good shape? If so, what is passable, and what is not?
Thanks

My test.... if it spins straight. if the timing mark is in the correct position and there is no crack along the keyway, i will run it.
For units that have a bad groove on the seal surface, I will select a different style seal that rides on a different part of the surface or install a repair sleeve.
