Anyone know a source for the jets for a Holley 2280 type carb? The jets in it are smaller than the standard old 4 barrel or Holley 1920 two barrel type carbs (which both use the same sort of jet).

Not started tuning it yet, but realized the jet size difference and so putting it out there to gain the info if needed later.

Cheers

Excuse my slip; I had thought the 2280 takes the ordinary jets like a 1920 or 1945, but in fact the 2280 takes the smaller jets. These are available in numerous orifice sizes from Walker; they're the "120-6" jet family as listed in Walker's Holley Metering & Jets catalogue (PDF). Probably also worth getting their Holley 2bbl master parts catalogue.

Dan,

Kindly please, is there a Canadian source/email contact for Walker parts particularly 5220/6520?

I saw that Walker parts do have throttle shaft sleeves and source of jets also finally hopefully metal floats if available. Also jets for these?

Oh, I'd love to find a damper pot that fits these as well? The computer kept overcorrecting by cycling the throttle in and out even I had it set up correctly so I have to disconnect the vacuum throttle kicker.

Cheers, Wizard

Hi,

Thanks for posting the links. I'll have a look through them and see what I can find. Might not need any jets, but then again, at the altitude (you know what that is about) I just might!

Wizard: Not sure. Give 'em a jingle and see if they have any Canadian distributors.

Brit: Glad to help!

These guys can be a good source for carb parts. I dont know if they have parts for the carb in need here, but they do have a good listing of there parts on line and you can sift through there sub sections and see what you can find.

Thanks for the post Lucky13. Did not see Holley stuff as needed, but did notice a listing for Carter 2 bbl. Might be a useful place for picking up pieces for someone tuning or repairing a Carter.

List of sources might be worth some sort of sticky perhaps, if I didnt already miss one that is

Cheers

Careful; these guys seem to have blown off and hosed one of our members.
