too bad they cancelled route 66 Chrysler classic, which had / 6 scheduled. WE need to push the Blankenship family to add SLANT 6 to NORWALKS program.
Blankenships will be happy to add a Slant race anywhere you want one. All you have to do is provide sponsor money to them. :?

Just to confirm.

I will have my Aspen ready to go Friday morning for test and tune. Got the new trans installed last weekend and looking for some best ever time slips. Might even break into the 17's if I pull the bumpers off. Car will be faster next year when the fresh block and cam and worked head are finally finished.

Hope to see you all there.

What a great time. It was really good to hang with friends.

8 cars and no broken cars is always enough to have lots of fun.

Big controversy in semi-finals. It falls into the hex of the dreaded crosstalk and other textbook examples of why events at Pittsburgh's track have struggled so much.

I'll let someone else tell the story. Thanks a million to Phil, Dan and Lou who did a lot of traveling to make the event a true slant six believer's oasis.

Congrats to Nick for pulling way out ahead in the points contest.

That was only half of the problem Zilla. We all discussed the problem and had accepted that the crosstalk woud probably would be on. Everyone that had a problem with the crosstalk also said it caused them to run slower lights not red lights.
Well in the semi's I cut a .0688 and ran my dial Greg red lighted and then proceded to go back to the staging lanes and gave the guy there enough of an ear full that he made us re-run the race where I (in my annoyed state) ended up red lighting by .0084 sec.

You got hosed.

Unless there is a proven fault in the tree/lights I have never, ever, ever seen a re-run because of a bad light. I can't believe the track allowed it.

There is not a single reason Cross Talk can not be turned off. Martin did the same thing to us last year at their Classic.

We still had a great time and my Valiant got its best milage ever out and back at 22.4mpg. I can drive for 6 hours and over 300 miles on a tank woo hoo.

I dont think Greg was trying to get a re-run he was just giving them heck for not turning it off, he asked them to turn it off while we were in the staging lanes and had an "N" on his windshield.

I had a great time with everyone there. Great to meet Nick (MrMopar95), even though he spanked me in the 1st round of eliminations. :D

Rest moved to results thread...

Lou
