I have a side view A body mirror. When it was shipped to me the glue on the glass broke loose. Is there a good way to fix this or is it now toast?

Too many people who were born on third base actually believe they've hit a triple.

If you are just re-gluing the glass to it's mount I would clean the two sufraces with a adhesive cleaner (wax and grease remover works too), allow it to dry for a minute or two and re-attach the mirror with windshield urethane. If you don't want to buy a tube of urethane, stop by a local body shop or windshied installer and see if they would but a couple dabs of urethane on the backside of the glass for you. Press it into place and allow it to dry for the day. If you can't get it to stay in place while it is drying, just use some masking tape to hold it in place.

Dan its manual. Chris It looks like it was epoxyed on does this epoxy need to come off first or is it better to just leave it there? Tere is just a ball end on the mirror base and a dimple on the "glass back" actually an alum. cover on the back of the glass.

You should probably remove it although I don't think it would have any adverse efffects to the strength of the urethane.
