I had one Hell of a time removing the check ball for the squirters on a '65 model BBD.

Turns out it had the big one in there VS the small one! I thought it was corroded in there. I drilled next to it and finally popped it out using a pick.

I fixed the area I drilled with some JB Weld. I had a problem with the big ball hanging up in there.

I disassembled another carb for a check ball (lost the new one from the rebuild kit and the original) After reading the instructions zI realized that somone dropped the wrong ball in there.

Might have time to pull the borrowed Stromberg off and drop this one on before work tomorrow 8)

It's alive!! I had to grind the M-1 as the throttle stop for the idle hit and hung up.

I had to grind it for the Stromberg to work before.

It fired right up! Only thing I forgot was the choke pull off hose. I misplaced my vacuum gauge. I would have taken it for a ride except it doesn't have the tranny in yet!

This carb was full of scale and rusty looking dust. I brought it back from the dead! Ported the top part of the carb, Put the top of the fuel bowl and the fuel bowl top on a belt sander. Trued them up

Fixed the worn trottle shaft leak with the "Sonic" shaft repair kit
