This is mostly for Dan, but anyone else who'd like to chime in, please feel free.

Dan's "engine soup" uses MMO as one of its ingredients, and I'm just curious as to why Marvel instead of other oil/solvent/cleaner products out there. A guy I know is claiming that putting it in his oil on every change and using it as an additive in his fuel (is that even recommended??? It's been a while since I looked at a can) is improving his fuel economy, and I'm finding it very hard to believe. I'm hesitant to call it snake oil, since it DOES serve a purpose, but I'm just wondering what sets MMO apart from other products out there.

Because it's a thin-body oil. It's there to provide some lubrication and flushing fluid to the soup; other ingredients do the cleaning work. Rislone would work as well, if that's easier to find for you.

That's because it's bull, even if he were factoring the cost of the MMO into his fuel "savings", which I bet he isn't.

Pretty good. I had a long term substitute teacher position this last spring, and my wife and I are expecting our third child this September! It's a boy.
Can't complain, even a few more gray whiskers in my goatee don't bother me. 8)
