If it's the same type as cars get I have a few of those pumps laying around, I'm pretty sure we could find a better one for you!

I've got one too if you're coming by for the exhaust.

Make sure it's not leaking from the weep hole in the pump. If it's leaking there the shaft seal is done and the pump needs to be replaced.

well today i pulled the water pump, and yeah it was shot. and it seems it was spraying coolant over my engine, not the power steering pump as the seller told me. the power steering pump does leak but its so minimal that i will not worry about it untill it gets worse. i got a ally re-mann for $16.00 w/ cork gasket. i also replaced the remainer of hoses while i was doing it.

after a lenghty test drive , i noticed that the engine was running cooler and i had no more leaks. sweet!

now hopefully i can get some work hauling & moving people with my truck.

Yeah, get to work!

Glad your power steering pump isn't leaking badly and the truck is serviceable.

Nice truck, it's the same body style (lil' longer) as my '76 Ramcharger but mine sports a 360. I have slant truck envy, especially every time I fill the tank... every three days.

i hear that polara pat, with my freeway driving habits in the super six dart i am sucking down the petrol. the truck seems to get about 15 to 17 city and a not bad 21mpg highway. the truck is 1bbl 225 w/ a holly 1920 & 2.5" exhaust. plus i know how to work on it and that's the best part!

I got a choke thermostat from Duster Idiot, so i finally have a choke in the truck. tomorrow its going off to work w/me (day job doing lawn work). So anyway the max speed of the truck 1BBL/1920 is 89MPH and it holds it fine. it gets the best gas millage about 65mph. i really don't need much more out of it.

I'll bet if you just foggied, and drove at 55 you'd get better mileage.

But I'm just a fly on the wall.....

after many dump runs today and a full day of landscaping i got prolly a highway avg of 20mpg with a 4,100LB truck (empty load w/ tool box and ect i used the dumps scales for that figure .. i even got out for a re-weigh) city driving i am avg pretty high ... prolly in the high teens. that old 4 speed don't let ya do much more than hauling. the raidator is toasted .. period! i am still getting quite close to overheating. sh1t!

its also usefull for running over people or ricers (loud hondas)

cheers as always & keep up the g00d werk guys & gals!

neil

btw CJ wtf is foggied?
