Yep, the car and this engine combo now have 50K on the odometer and still going... have tryed various combinations of carbs, the 390 Holley is good for in town power and good gas mileage, the 600 cfm Holley posted in another HPak thread was nice on power but not so good on mileage (you gotta give up something...right?)... Right now I have a 450 cfm holley and getting about the same mileage as the 390, a bit more power than the 600, but it still need a bit of 'tuning'...

I have given quite a few slant sixers rides in that car and they always give you that look....

This car and beater valiant now make up my 'stable' of daily driving cars (about 40 miles of commute daily on average)

DI,how did you know where to place the equalization hole (or does it matter) and how large to make it? I have been reading the 2 plane intake manifold thread as well as this one and both have been very informational. Thanks!

I had actually looked over a few dividers and had read an article Zora Duntov had written about equilization in the plenum and trying to keep the reversion down.. looking over what he had said and knowing the hpak tended to 'puddle' badly on the floor, I put the hole in that spot so if any flow occurred from one side to the other, it would be able to draw on the 'wet floor' of the plenum -hopefully-.... so far I haven't seen any problems with it. It did make up for some inconsistency between the 123 bank and 456 bank on the engine while dialing in the carb (I think the law of averaging was in effect).

I have a single plane Holley Street Dominator for the SB Mopar. There was 2 versions AFAIK with the same part number. I traded a guy even up for a Doras Arkus Duntov version with a balance tube. It was a runner between #7 and #8. Suppossed to balance out a lean condition due to the firing order.

I haven't tried it yet. It has 318 sized ports.
