150 shot through a 3 speed ......about 1.5 seconds until 1st gear shears gears off the cluster.

You will just smoke a weak clutch.

I tend to break disc springs.........

I would be leary, about using any nitrous with the 3 speed stick. I have never tried it, but if you have the nitrous on, at launch, then shift to second, with out turning off the nitrous during the shift, you will most likely over rev the engine, on the shift. The same situation for the second to high shift. It would be possible to turn the nitrous off during the shift, but now you start to add complications. I would think a trans that could be shifted without disconnection the power transfer coupling would be best. Like a "slick shifted" A-833, or a clutchless 5 speed.
PS: nitrous does not like to be on, when the throttle is not WOT. So if you lift the throttle on the shift, you will need to shut down the nitrous.

Disclaimer: I do not have personel experiance, with nitrous and a stick. This posting is just "food for thought".
