So, I pulled the front end out of a '75 Valiant yesterday (LCAs, UCAs, spindles, discs, calipers, prop block). The guy threw in a sway bar that'll fit my '70 Dart. It's all still assembled and I really haven't had time to figure out how it all works. I have a few questions;

- Is the disc integral to the hub?
-When I replace the discs, do I need new bearings?

- Is there a larger bore MC available (upgrade)? It's a manual brake car and I wonder if I could get more stopping power with such an upgrade

- Anything that I ought to pay attention to when I install these puppies?

A bit more info;

It has the sliding type calipers. T-bar adjuster bolt broke off during disassembly (had to cut the T-bar to relieve tension
:shock: ). Now I can't get the block and remaining bolt out. Any advice?

Thanks in advance,

Nat

Yes and yes unless you're dirt poor.

There are different bore master cylinders available, but all you're really going to achieve with a larger bore master cylinder is more pedal reserve and more pedal effort. If you want more stopping power (fade resistance) you need better brake pads or larger rotors. Raybestos Super Stop pads SSD84 for the sliding calipers original to the '75 are an excellent choice.

Yes, plenty. It's all outlined in the factory service manual.

Bummer, get out the hot wrench (cutting torch).
