84k origanal on 225 automatic in a 73 dart sport. All rockers adj correctly .10 and .20. Taken pan down removed 4 and 5 rod caps, normal breakdown. Noise still rear of engine inside block. Rev up and as rpm lowers nockinf is louder then normal tick, it always the lowdest after reving.

Did that vehicle use a flex plate? Old Fords knock like crazy with a cracked flex plate, and it's sometimes difficult to tell the difference between that and a rod knock.
