Hey Midi...
Maybe I could figure out some reward for your wife to snag Ceej's camera so we can catch Ceej in some interesting photo opportunities...

FYI,

It looks like we might have a record breaking crowd (wow, since at best I've had like 6-8 tops...this time we might have a few more...)
If you have a favorite folding lawn chair, you might throw it in the trunk just in case... I have 4 patio chairs, and a handful of plastic patio chairs, but if the number goes over 10, we'll need some chairs...

So far I have two tubs of tri-tip that have been marinading in Bent-6 marinade, will get the salads tomorrow, and some chips...

We might have to get a second tank of propane for the grill...

I have a fair selection of 'unleaded' (water and sprite), 'leaded' (pepsi, coke, mt.dew), and 'Ethyl' (Pyramid CurveBall Kolsch, Apricot Ale, Sunrye Ale, and Deschutes Twilight Ale... try to puke over the fence in the neighbors pool... PLEASE! I owe it to them!)

Anyhow, as previous experiences have put forth, these BBQ's are a great way to see board member's face to face, bench race, and juts have some fun meeting a great bunch of people (I would feel bad, because midi's wife would miss the opportunity to put some faces to the names and know why the slant community is a great place to be...)

I consider this to be a good way to help the 'movement'...

(Since Doc and Allen made it up a while back... maybe we should get Chuck up here for a 'visit', next year?!?!?!)

If anybody needs last minute directions, I'll try to check in, but @ 10 am I'm going to check out the 'show', swing by Costco next door and get a few items, and start the BBQ around noonish.....

any last min stuff i should try to bring, can't bring much i was lucky to afford gas to this event.

goldyn (mine sexor frau) aint comming cj, we been having a drinking and bed room actrobatics marathon so she is gonna be hung over tomorrow. i'll be driving solo! she got fired so she has been on a bender to end all benders. at least there will be no one to tell me to slow down!

if your from portland / close in vancover and u need a ride down my number is again 503.560.5753 i will be waking up @ 8:30 and chugging coffee so i can rember who i am and where i am going. if u catch me early u can have a super six dart express ride ( no stops just hauling A) down to duster idiots bbq. i am planning on a 35min ride down to salem.

i'll be down hopefully early to see the show and also help out in any way i can.

i hope u are not bringing that metro ceej! bring up yer valiant! or i'm just gonna take my wife's ricer down there and have AC, turbo, power everything and a 1200W sound system.

Nope. No Metro.

Probably something running on dead dinosaur glop. Gotta pick up the engine and goodies from Josh.

The Valiant is up on blocks waiting for it's driveshaft, and a bit more body work.

If I get home at a decent hour, I should be good to go for Woodburn Sunday.

It's the Mopar only race (so why do I run my Ford) because it's Mopar powered.

Yes, DI knows how to cook and it was very good. My thanks to you also.
Was good to meet a few more /6ers, thought the Red car was very nice with the dual Webers on it. Slantsix bob needs to get himself a BLUE car  . Had a real nice visit.

I had a great time, it's always a pleasure to have a laid back gathering...

I think everyone got to share a bit, see a few new things (Matt's Weber set up is cool... Hey Matt, Hope you took notes my buddy Dale pointed you in some good directions to keep tuning on it... you gotta watch him he's great at breaking down auto mechanic-ing into easy to understand concepts, and he's spot on in his direction of thought...)

For those people that missed out, I think the critics have spoken... try to get the day or afternoon off, we'll do it again next year... let's see a few more faces... I think the Bent-6 marinaded tri-tip was a success (been that way for the last BBQ's... so I'll keep making it...)

Hope everybody mde it home safe... good luck to Richard and the slant six drivers tomorrow at woodburn...

:D

I wish that I could have been there, sounds like everyone had a blast, but alas, I was not away without sufficient reason, being the poor person I have always been, I was working. Oh well, I WILL be there next year!
