My 71 Dart has 9"x2.25" front drum brakes, and 10"x1.75" rear drum brakes (8 3/4 rear end)
I replaced all the brake shows when I installed my 8 3/4 a while ago, and the car stopped great. However recently my brakes have started pulling to the left. It isn't too bad if im just starting to slow down from a normal driving speed, but once I get down to around 20mph or im creeping around, it pulls bigtime.
I re-bleed my brakes and adjusted the self-adjusters, absolutely no difference. I even adjusted-out the front passenger side adjuster a little more, no difference. At this point i'm thinking that the wheel cylinders in the front might be bad? They are original or extremely old as far as I can tell.
I would just like to replace the front wheel cylinders...even if it's just to error on the side of caution. I would also like to get new self adjusters if possible. Does this sound like a good idea? Or does anyone have any other suggestions? Questions?
If so, what part numbers would you guys reccomend for new front wheel cylinders, and new front self adjusters?
Thanks...
