Hi guys, i lost the vaccum piston spring of my carter bbd and i need the dimensions of this spring. Please help whith this trouble.

you could try seeing if a rebuild kit has the spring. imt not really sure of any places that sell these springs. i mean guessing from the picture i guess you could say its like 1 1/2 to 2 inches (guessing though) maybe dan knows were you can get these parts? good luck on it though.

I have'nt tried here. I busted the plastic fitting on top the bowl cover that vents to the canister on my '72 318 BBD, but I got one off a core I found. Good luck on yours

Sorry nothing to do with the question but I just returned from a vacation in Chile. I didn't see many old cars in Santiago! But going to Mendoza in Argentina was like stepping back in time, a lot of old cars still driving around. Unfortunately my camera had a problem with the lens so I didn't get any photos. :( Next time...
