hey guys. i took the head off my 225 yesterday. what i found was three pisitons that were starting to come apart along the edges. two cylinder walls are pretty badly scratched. at least 1/16th of an inch. am i better off finding another 225, or sleeving this one. is there anyone around the san francisco bay area that has a good 225 block. thanks.

Measure carefully and see if the block will successfully clean-up at .060 or .080 oversize.

What year is the block and what is the vehicle it is going into?
I would use a different block before sleeving one. I have a few extra SL6 blocks if you need a better one... I am in Sunnyvale, CA (north of San Jose)
Send me a PM if interested.

A sleeve would be fine if you had a lot of work already into the block or it was something rare. 225 blocks are a dime a dozen though. :D

sweet-ass ride.
its nice when the g/f supports your madness, even nicer when she rolls up her sleeves and helps.
