Does anyone have any pics of the power steering brackets, pump and pulley on their non-A/C /6? Mine's a '77 Aspen, and even though I took the crank and P/S pump pulleys from a '76 Aspen donor, it's still not right. The P/S pulley sits too far back on the P/S pump shaft, so I'm totally confused here...

FYI, my car did have A/C so the A/C compressor bracket was removed (the old P/S pump brackets bolted to the A/C comp. bracket) and the P/S bracket I got off the '76 Aspen was a non-A/C setup.

Well, I don't have any pics to help you, sorry. However, My '78 Volare 2-door came with AC. Years ago, I removed the AC compressor, hoses, condenser, etc., and just left that bracket sticking up with nothing on it. Years later, I removed the AC bracket, and cut a piece of thick sheetmetal to go in it's place. I drilled some holes, and with some fairly thick washers, its working just fine.
I also have an '80 F-body with power steering, and no AC. The power steering bracket on it is from a non-AC equipped F-body. I had to flip it a few times to figure out how to install it.
So, if you have the right bracket and other parts, it should bolt together and line up.
Maybe someone else has some pics of their setup.

If you'd be willing to get the part number off of the P/S pump pulley on your '80, I'd appreciate it. I think that's the main problem right now.

Can anyone provide the factory pulley part number (should be stamped into the face of the pulley) for a non-A/C /6 power steering pump pulley? It's definitely not 3870089, as I have two of those already.

There's too many variations between body styles and years, I don't think its that easy a comparison.

This is the info from a 70-71 parts book. There were at least 2 different types of pumps, not sure when the change was.

With 3/8" threaded hole pump shaft (valiant, charger, barracuda, dart, belvedere , satellite, coronet, charger) - 2951157
With Key slotted pump shaft (valiant/dart) - 3418950
With Key slotted pump shaft (separate listing then above marked for plymouth/dodge) - 2946765

You're right, I forgot about the Fedaral and Saginaw style pumps used for different years. I guess I'll have to ask someone with a '77 parts book for the number. Thanks.

Saginaw pumps only in '77. The Federal pump stopped after about '74.
