Im installing a 225 and Im wondering if the kickdown lever on the 904 operates as a tv lever? I had thought of using a choke cable to operate the passing gear, but if it is a t.v. I need a different set up. Thanks.

Yes, it is a throttle pressure ("T.V.") linkage. The choke cable idea won't work. See this thread for kickdown options.
