Welllllll, I won the bidding for it. I now own a real race car kit.

It is not an A body, but it is a Dodge.

I go drag it home in a couple weeks.

Yes, it will be Slant powered when it debuts next spring.

It will be legal weight to drop the B/Nitrous record way into the low 11's/high 10's.

I might be able to drop it into A w/a skinny driver.

I have already been talking to Mike about putting his motor that went 10:05 into it.

It will be at least 200# lighter than Mike's Valiant.

The chassis will certify to 8:50.

Give us a clue what it is, when you feel like it, Big D. Congrats on the new wheels!

I weigh 180 with clothes and a helmet...

Maybe ol' Dale will have some competition for current fastest Slant car. He's been knocking on the 9s, but not done it yet, AFAIK.

Lou

Lou, I may just take you up on that. Think you can handle an 11 second bottle car?

Many states do not offer titles on cars past a certain year.
As such, other states have to play along. KS will have a highway patrol come out and look, they run the VIN, and you get legal.

I pick the car up the 30th.

It is a Shelby Daytona, back-halfed, 4 link/strut. It was a 360/Powerglide, but not anymore.

Probably going to be having a garage sale soon. Not much need for the street stuff anymore.

Why are the big fat drive wheels on the rear for a front-wheel drive car?

Sandy, 150 might work. Can you commute between BC and Chicago for the races? :D

It looks like the red car will probably stay together as a race car. I have already had an inquiry as to what will happen to it.

Possum, you'd best get 2 hair dryers, 1 might not be enough anymore.

Looks like Sandy and Seymour get to duke it out for lightest Slant Six race driver. Dang, 155!

Nice lookin' car, Dennis! Looks serious. I'll be interested what it weighs too.

I like Sandy's commute strategy - either 200 yds, or 2000 miles...

Lou

Thanks Lou.

It weighed 2400 w/an aluminum head 360/727. I think after we redo the front frame and strut mountings we can get another 150 or so off of that w/a Slant/904.
