At long last it runs. I just kept at the manual timing thing and moved the distributor a tooth at a time to get it to fire up. Then it was still way out of time according to the light so I moved one more tooth, started it and timed it. It fires instantly on a warm start now....we'll see how it does cold in the morning but then I will know I need more carb adjustments to solve that. I think the real reason it started was I ignored it for a few days and it felt bad.

Thank you again everyone for all the great help. I learned a lot. Now on to the rewiring, the new rubbers, the brake and suspension check and then the tranny overhaul. I am assuming since reverse is entirely out that I need a rebuild??? Who knows, maybe I can get it licensed, inspected and on the road finally.
