Hi Folks,
We got my son a new 5" Autometer tach with shift lite for Christmas. He went to install it today and could not find the instructions. Your help with the wiring is appreciated. Which wire gets cut for the a 6 cylinder? I think it is the brown one? It has a orange one also.
Then for the 4 wires in the harness:

Red- Hot all the time while running?
Black- Good Ground?
White_ Hot when lights are on ?
Green- Negative side of Distributor??

Sure appreciate some help, if this is not right.

Rick

Have you checked Autometer's site? I haven't looked there myself, but I would be surprised if they didn't have some sort of guide online.

I was on the autometer site the other day, and they do have instructions on there.
