Okay, how's it mounted? I looked inside and out, and I can't for the life of me find how it's mounted in the car. I'm pulling both this and the heater box for restoration this week.

Obviously this is in reference to my Duster...

Three small sheetmetal screws running vertically through the flange at the top of the outer perimeter of the vent box.

If memory serves me correctly, a long extension and a 3/8" socket are in order to get all of them...

I actually got it without killing myself. It pays to look first and see what you can remove beforehand to make the task easier...

Luckily you have a '74 with the hand lever e-brake... while a pain to get under the dash in that area... it has it's merits over the '76 model with the foot pedal e-brake that blocks the driver's side kick panel...

keep goin' you're almost there...
