Yes Pierre, I see your point..

Well I actually got 3 iat Sensors from the bone yard... 2 are Gm units that sort of "plug into" the Plastic air box or the plastic intake tract..

Then I yanked one off the jeep 4.0 that I got a bunch of the other crap off of.

If it's too troublesome I will just enlarge my Homemade bung from 1/4" threads to 3/8" threads and get a GM one..

Alright - I just went and ordered a GM Air temp Sensor Form Rockauto.. I will fit it up later.. Standard part # AX1 Will do for the GM Sensor.

Also found this! Seems like a nice piece! - I am sure Matt C. will let us know if it is too small for a slant Pulley?? - I haven't Measured mine yet.

Wow, both those are cool. It seems the bluetooth device should work with my Accel as well, should it not? I am currently using a USB/serial adapter between the laptop, and the ECU. I didn't read every word of the text, but seems like there would be a small software disk to configure the adapter in the laptop. The serial port end would then deliver the same bits and bites that the cord does now. ARe you going to go this route? Keep us informed.

The crank trigger looked intriguing. We would really like to know if you try this, and get it to work. What kind of ignition do you think you would fire with it? Does this mean you are considering sequential fire?

You will get it running. It took me awhile to get mine going, but now, in retrospect, it was worth the time and effort. You will make many, many little changes as you procede, and most of them will get you more refined, and better performance. The ones that didn;t work out, you will go back a step, but that is still learning, and progress.

Sam

Well Sam, I will Probably be getting the Bluetooth Stuff Sometime Later... I will update that when It happens... I plan on putting the Ford EIDS-6 Coil onto the car sometime... But MS II is not yet a sequential system as far a fuel goes.. From what I understand.. I am under the understand that B&G are working on that but it's not here yet. I haven't done enough reading on the EIDS System and Megasquirt to see if the Crank wheel plus the coil packs Still give a wasted spark or not.

I will read up on that this weekend at carlisle.

Oh And I am confident that I'll get it running! I know it will be alot of trial and error and a big learning experience too!

That crank trigger wheel is the exact same one I currently have on my slant six. We may at some point come out with an actual bolt-on model, although I'm not sure we would make a bolt on sensor bracket or just a more universal design.

For the Jeep sensor calibration curve, try these values instead.

Bias: 2490

-4: 97120
77: 10000
212: 700

Well Matt, I Plugged in those values in the Thermistor Dialog....
They seem to be on - I will know for sure when I get the car out of the garage.

Well Today I put the Headers and Remflex Intake / Exhaust Gasket on. I also did the Final Bit of routing for the fuel Lines -- So they are all connected up. Once I got the dist. on the correct tooth it fired right up.. There is still much tuning to be done - specifically finding where the dist should be - then Getting the Trigger stuff worked out in MegaTune. I only ran it for ~20 Seconds or so as I have yet to hook up the rest of the exhaust.. I am still waiting for a local supplier to get my M18X1.5 Tap to clean out the threads on the O2 Bung.. Then I can plug that in and get tuning.

But after 9 Days it's bye-bye 2 BBl - and Hello EFI.

Congratulations! Is there any chance you would go to the Bash being held in August at Mason Dixon in Hagarstown? I am considering going if anyone else I know is going to go. I think it is the 18th or 19th. Maybe the 17th. I'll look it up if anyone is interested. It would be fun to have a slant/A body presence.

Thanks Sam, August is tough for me, as work is very busy for me then, including nights and weekends, so most likely I cannot make it. And I also am planning on taking the dart to Woodward this year. Woodward is a week after the mopar nats. I will be at carlisle this weekend which is maybe only 2 hours north of baltimore :)

Well after Tuning and Driving etc. for about a month, the project is mostly done. Just fine tuning the warmup / Idle maps and Fine tuning the VE.

Once I get the tune dialed in (it almost there) I will add the O2 Feedback to the Equation.

But think of all the money you'll save from F.I.!

Oh, right. "Fuel injection won't get better miles-per-gallon than a properly tuned carburetor." :)

If/when I try fuel injection, I'll be counting on your advice among others. Enjoy that F-body!

Well I have been Fine tuning For about 3 months Now.. As I dig around in the Megatune Saftware and Expirment with little changes here and there. I find nice little settings and maps to play with to get that silky New car EFI Feel.

Anyway.. Here's my question.. I am working with the barometic correction in Megatune.. I jsut tried it out on my way home from work today and it seems to do well.. What I want to know is if the barometric goes down -- My altitude is about 98-98.5Kpa.. Do I lean it out and vice versa when the kpa's go up say to 100(sea level) ??

Thanks, Greg

Lean it out as you go up in altitude
Richer when you go down.

Whatever that equates too with the MAP....
