The amount of pics and video he has looks good and would be a nice assembly video, but you'll need a T3 connection to watch all of it...

Looks like the timing chain came in handy...

The ONLY reason why I have not yet packed my Mopars In containers and Moved to USA or AUS is that out exchange rate is lousy , US is WAY to close to china  and I cant abide king size rats

Seriously - helping each other on such a level is a Mopar thing, even over here

Good one :!: :!: :!: :!: :D :D :D :D :D

I have been following this thread very closly!

And I must say, that I`m very impressed, with the effort that you guys put in, to help out a guy, in need!
Makes me wonder, if I dont live on the wrong d..n continent!

Anyway, I was a bit concerned, with the color choice, but I`ll eat my words, and flush it down with a cold beer!

Those colors are awsome together!

I`ll be pulling my engine, as soon as I have all the parts I need (And some I don`t need)

I`m looking forward to the rest of this! and I want to hear and see that engine back, in the car!!!

Nice work guys! come to Norway, and the beers will be on me! :D

Midi,

I am not familiar with your previous build.
What cam are you running?
Had your head already been milled?
What compression ratio?

Nice team work. :D

Aggressive Ted i have no idea to be honest. as far as i know its stock.
nothing has been modifed & only berings and gaskets have been replaced.
the only upgrade is the super six intake manifold and carter BBD.

anyways i'm off to get it out of the truck ( that's gonna suck ) and start touching up the paint.

Take the tailgate off the truck and back it up to the engine hoist and hook it up.

I wish I had known you didn't have new rings. I have a standard size set on the shelf.

What did the oil pump look like inside?

Maybe I missed something; I did not hit any of the links on account of my dinosaur slow dialup connection; but did I catch that right, you completely dismantled the engine, honed the cylinders and are re using the rings? Uh oh.

HAHA!!! You took my advice and painted the spark plug tubes orange!!!! That looks so AWESOME!!!

One note: We did have a little accident whilst repairing the head. All 3 of us (Ceej, MiDi and I) were working to replace the valve stem seals. Ceej managed to crush his hand on the Rocker shaft mounts, with the spring compressor. So, following that, it was MiDi and I for the rest. But alas, We can honestly say, that we put our blood (Ceej) sweat (all 3) and tears (mostly MiDi) into it.

It was well over 100, all 3 of us were sweaty, and dehydrated (even though we downed more gatorade than there was grease on the engine). It was alot of hard work, but it was also alot of fun. I'll be heading up prolly tuesday so we can get it installed, and fire it up!

I have not been a part of the SL6 family for all that long now, but, I feel that everyone I have met, basically becomes another member of the family. We have a close knit congregation here, and I absolutely love it. I know that most of us have owned Chebby Small blocks and I6s, F#$% small blocks and I6s, even mopar small blocks, but NOTHING that they offer, whether it be versatility, ease of use, or anything else, will EVER measure up to what we have in something I feel is far more important.

We have something the other guys really dont.. and that one thing, is COMPASSION.

And that my friends, is what makes the Slant Six group truly unique.

~THOR~

P.S.

Volaredon, yes we reused the rings, but, the rings and walls were in almost perfect shape. It will burn oil till the rings re-seat, but I think we are good to go. This isnt something unfortunately, that we had alot of prep time to take care of. Our goal is to have the car running, and so MiDi can make some passes down @ medford. Since the engine isnt BRAND NEW, it doesnt need to have as large a break in period, since the real reason the engine came apart was just to replace the thrust bearing.
