I just noticed tonight that when the headlights are on the front parking lights are not. Is that supposed to happen on a 66 Dart or am I having some kind of problem?

Second Question what bulbs am I supposed to use in various locations, Tail light/brake light, rear parking lights, front marker/turnsignals? :?:

Parkers-on-with-headlamps was not made mandatory until 1968. It was standard on Barracudas from the beginning (or almost the beginning) of their model run. It's a good safety mod (oncoming traffic still sees you as a car rather than a motorcyle if a headlight burns out) and very easy to do; see here

See this post. Because you have a '66 Dart, see also this thread.

Headlamps can also be upgraded significantly, but shop very carefully and ask lots of questions; there's a lot of junk being sold as "upgrades".

Ok, good, that is the way the parking lights are supposed to operate, that is a relief.

Thanks Dan those threads were all very informative. Your the man for these things.

I'm going to shop around locally and attempt to find some 1095's for the inner tail lights. We have some very old parts stores that may still have some of those old bulbs in stock, if I can't find them I'll send you a PM.
I'm also going to pony up the dough for the better 3496's for the tail lights/brake lights and the 796's for the back up lights on the Dart and the Valiant.

Hey SlantSixDan, would there be any reason to not use a 67 bulb for the parking lights on the trunk? It fits the socket and is rated at 4 candlepower.(I got some 1043's for the tail/brake lights)

Wrong focal length; you need the #1095.

And don't use 1034s for the brake lights, use P3496s.
