Doc,

Excellent! Thank you very much.

So if I get some dismal time slips I will know why and what to work on.

Weight and gear ratio.

Sounds like that cam is a torque monger......with some descent high end to it.

What were the rpms at the end of the quarter?

I will get a weight on the car in the near future, I just ran out of time last week.

We can tell a lot from a few time slips so go get some.

On last thing, the starting line at the dragstrip is usually pretty slick and street tires have trouble getting grip. Wheel spin kills your ET.

Reduce the tire pressure to 20 psi or even less, doing this puts a lot more tire in contact with the track. We bring a "pressure pot" of air so we can pump them up again at the end of the night. (a small "cigarette lighter" air compressure also works)

Allen and I were running the Dacuda's right side rear tire at 16 psi, the left one at 20 psi and the car was getting traction with the 2.94 open diff. The right side tire was looking kinda "flat" but it did not move on the rim or come-off it's bead.

My bet is that you will not have to go that low on tire pressure seeing that you have a posi. If you are running the tire pressure on the high side for better MPG, take it down to the low side for your dragstrip passes.
If you get any wheel spin, start letting more air out
