I don't think they had a hemi slant, but the aussies had a 265 straight six hemi. That would be so cool to have one of those in an american car. Those puppies had some power!

There is nothing such as a hemi slant-6. There was an Australian (upright) hemi-6 engine. It can be installed in most any car that originally had a slant-6, with adaptive mounts and other required components. One of our members on here (OZHemi) regularly brings over hemi-6s from Australia for sale. This question has been discussed a great deal; please use the board's search function.

someone has done it by cutting two 5.7 hemi heads into eight pieces and then gluing them back together. i'm not sure how successful it was but if you do a search you can read the post for yourself.

I'm still playing around with the hemi heads. Right now i'm just trying to get my daily driver slant running. Seems like it takes so long to get anything done.

heckshemi, that is probably one of the coolest things I have ever seen. A hemi head on a slant.

Just remember the Hemi-6 is about 3.5" longer then a slant, so can be a tight fit length wise in some engine bays... Which is why the Aussie cars had a longer engine bay to make room for the Hemi's.

For comparison...here is a Slant head and a Hemi head.

You can see the Hemi head is a "foot" longer Image
