Working on a front disk brake conversion for my '72 Valiant and was wondering if I am going to need different Lower Control Arms for it to work?

Your existing LCAs should work just fine if they're in good condition.

Swap lower ball joints and you are fine. You only need switch the spindles and uppers.

"LCA is the same for all A-Bodies, except for sway bar tab. UCA will be changed if using 73-up big bolt pattern spindles, due to larger upper ball joint. Lower ball joint is the same all years for disk and 10" drums. You will need to change lower ball joints only is you are swapping disks onto a car which originally had 9" drums"

According to this...I need to get 73-up LCA's cuz I do have 9" drums all around...I believe you dakight, but, this is contrary to what you said. Which is correct?

You need to change the Upper Control Arms (UCA) to the 73+ types which use a larger ball joint. The Lower Control Arms (LCA) did not change so you do not need to replace them.

*Edit* I think I see the confusion... The lower ball joint is different but the lower control arm is the same.
