On the rear leaf springs do i just pry the rear clamps off and let fly or is there more to it?

There's a great article in the July '08 Hot Rod Deluxe called "Cheap Leaf Link" where they modify and clamp leaf springs for drag race application. In addition they also add an adjustable four link set-up and re-enforce the housing. This is probably more than you need but it's all good info. the best part is that they are modifying an 8 3/4 and putting it in a '57 Chevy wagon.
