I haven't posted here for a while. Been pretty hectic recently. Being a gardener the growing season seems to mean you work til you don't know your own name!

But in the madness and chaos I have made a quite exciting find. A guy came to the workshop the other day and asked if I was the guy with the '65 Dart. I said yes and his reply was "I've got one of them. Do you want it?"

Well I was pretty gobsmacked really. When you've got a very rare car (certainly in the UK) the last thing you expect is to find another one! Needless to say I bought it and dragged it back to the workshop.

It's looking pretty sorry for itself. It appears to have been imported in this state in about 2000, and has gone through a few owners since then. The body is pretty rock solid on it - the rear quarters aren't great but the rest of it is very good. Interior is shot - my guess is it has been in a yard in a hot state for a long time and the sun has cooked it. No engine in the car, but has come with another slant 6 and 904 on a pallet.

Plan is to use some of the nicer bits of this one on my white Dart, then this one is going to become a super stock style nostalgia racer, just for run what ya brungs. Long term project tho, this one I'm reckoning on about a 5 year build plan all being well.





Oh yeah, it came with a boot full of spares - result!
