I think there is something odd about the Koni application though. Koni USA doesn't sell them anymore, and isn't the bottom hole on the Australian mounting different than US?

Aus-spec Konis are only about $300US, which seems like a bargain to me.

So, the Edelbrock shocks you guys speak of are the IAS's? If so, I think I will go with those and some .890 torsion bars, sound good guys? Does anyone know the cheapest place to buy torsion bars, IAS's, QA-1's and leaf springs. I think that would be much appreciated by not just me but all those others that are searching for the same thing, thanks guys

IAS shocks are cheap thru Summitracing.com or jegs.com. Don't know where the best place is for tbars anymore. I bought a bunch of sets around $130/pr a few years ago and then MP discontinued them so now they are $300 or so. Firmfeel.com certainly sells a variety.

Ok, ya, Jegs for the Edelbrock IAS's seems to be 86.99 and summitracing sells them for 84.95. If anyone knows a cheap place for some torsion bars, tell us please!

I have .920 torsion bars, 1.25 front bar, six leaf rears, edelbrock shocks all around, lowered rear spring hanger box. The tires are 205/60x15 front and 215/60x15 rear. It all works well, but is a little tail happy when pushed to the limit in increasing tightness curves. It gets a little squirly at some point in the spiral. I would likely go with softer rear springs next time. Or maybe Joshe's IRS.

All in all, it is a fine daily driver, with a real quick feel to the steering input. It is not a race car.

From my experience, it looks like your Valiant sits up a little high for best handling. It looks cool, but might work better a little lower. Wht size tires to you have?

Has P195/75/R14 all around....I will be in the process of swapping on a 8 3/4 rear soon and front disk conversion, new leafs, etc... Will be buying bigger rims and tires to prepare for future performance. I don't know what size tires I am going to get yet, I will start another thread about that. The rims I think I am going to get are either: Cragar SS series, Cragar 341 Street Lite Chrome Steel 3-Piece, Cragar Street Star, Weld Racing Pro Star Wheels, or Cragar Super Star rims.

I like the stance it has now, but, I think I could live with 1"-2" higher, which is what I will probably get with new leafs.

Just so you get an idea, I am currently running stock torsion bars (71 dart) with 5-leaf rear springs from P-S-T. They are the identical arched ones, but they were too 'high' so I spaced the rearend down with a 1" block. The springs are a little stiffer than stock, but not too stiff. I would not reccomend P-S-T

Front swaybar from Firmfeel, and standard Monroe shocks. It is my personal opinion that if you have a front and rear swaybar/stiffer rear springs, shocks don't account for as much since the car leans far less.

In the near-future I will be adding .890/891 torsion bars so the front-end doesn't 'hinge' as much when going over bumps.

Ok, so, I think I will only get a front sway bar, Edelbrock IAS's all around and .870 - .890 torsion bars. I am still unsure of what leaf springs to get, I think that I can get + 1-2" 6 leafers and stay around the stance I have now or a little higher! Thanks for all the help and advice guys....no PST springs check!
