I went to the chassis dyno today to see if any of the minor changes I made helped out....long story short....They didn't.

I used a Clifford intake over the Offy.

My compression was down a little because the copper head gasket is thicker than the steel shim by either .010" or .020" (I can't remember now).

I also had the meth start at 4psi rather than 8psi.

Timing = same as last year @ 19* total

I also replaced the meth 5gph nozzle with a 7gph.

The temp was about the same as last year (7*f cooler) but the humidity was up anywhere from 15% to 20% over last year.

I also measured the air temp after the intercooler but before the meth. My thermocouple recorded 105*F which was around 33* higher than ambient. (after a run the carb hat was freezing cold to the touch due to the meth)

The boost was turned up an additional 2.5psi over last year (almost 24psi).

Max RWHP= 253 @ 4050rpm
Max RWTQ= 338@ 3900rpm
These are almost identical to last year.

Peak last year was 259rwhp/345rwtq but that was with 2* more timing.

On my best run their AFR didn't record but looking at the other runs it appears like it could be a little lean - mid 12s to high 11s. I'd like to see it in the 11.5 range.

Hey Tom
Is this the new motor or the old with a better head gasket? What rearend do you have and at what rpm do you get the 19* total timing? With the old turbo, my car slowed down almost 2 tenths by dropping the timing from 22* to 16*. Your runnning more fuel with the meth so maybe you need more timing also. Your AFR will rise though with more timing. Mine did. Just a thought. When are you adding the bigger turbo? Later.

This is still the stock motor. I have a 2.94 gear and I have 19* total just off idle. Last time at the dyno, 19* seemed to be the magic number. 21* was good for maybe only another 5hp/5tq. Actually, the car seemed a tad on the lean side by the AFR readings. That's an easy fix. I'll keep messing with it.
