hey guys i am gonna build my slant i wanted to know as much about long rodin as possable thanks for the help

The article sums up the combo pretty well but the key is finding a set of 198 con rods. (7.006 inch c to c) 198s were the base engine for 1970 thru 74 only so they are not real easy to find.

The next decision is the power levels you are shooting for, if your goal is HP over 250 then forged pistons are a must do. Those are custom these days.

Basically, I have screwed together long rod 225 combos for low $$ that made an honest 200 HP using reconditioned junkyard 198 con rods and off the shelf (cast) 2.2 pistons.
