Hey folks,

Elaine Foster (Big Mama) and I are planning the 2008/2009 SSRN banquet (East Siders) for late Jan or early Feb. Of course, anyone from anywhere is welcome to come!

It looks like we will rent a lodge in the hills just above Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge, TN (within 1-2 miles). Elaine has done some nice searching.

The place will have a large common room, game room w/pool table, most likely a hot tub and/or pool in the unit or nearby.

We are trying to get a head count so we can decide on how big of a place we need to reserve. We will make this affordable (comparable to previous years) and the place should be nicer.

Dates will be one of these:
Jan 23-25
Jan 30 - Feb 1
Feb 6-8

Who can come, and how many in your group?

Any dates you cannot make?

Anna and I could make it on Jan. 23-25 but not on any of the other dates. Hope we get to see everyone. The lodge sounds like a great idea.

Hmm, that might be close enough to me. Jan. 24 is my b-day, so maybe I can get a nice present. It sure would be great to meet some slant six people. Like madmax/6 said, im gonna have to start playing the lottery. Put me+3 down as a maybe. Wouldn't it be kinda cold at that time though?

OK folks, I am getting close to setting the date and reserving the lodge. Will either be Jan 23-25 or Feb 6-8.

Got some new names on the list - see updated above...

Any preferences on dates or location, please speak up soon...

Looks like we'll have about 30 people - great!
