I have a good pitman arm with a nice tight pivot stud but the rubber boot is shot. Is it possible to change the boot; it looks like it's crimped on with a metal ring.

Growing older is unavoidable but growing up is strictly optional.

Hmmm... the last pitman arm boot I replaced didn't have a metal ring on it, the castle nut/washer retained the boot. If you get ahold of a new one and it doesn't have a metal ring around the bottom edge, that's why.
