Hello Everyone I'm new here and I have found a lot of great information and advice!

Does anyone have a diagram for all vacum lines for a 1974 Duster? I purchased this car last year for my son and the Haynes manual is ok but not to much detail for the vacum system.

Thanks

Welcome on the board! You've come to the right place. There's a great deal of important information missing from the Haynes book; you'll want to buy a factory service manual as soon as you possibly can. It'll have all of the vacuum info you're after and much more. In the meantime, which part of the vacuum system are you having trouble figuring out? Underhood? Underdash? One thing you'll definitely want to do is bypass the OSAC valve. Find the vacuum hose that presently runs from the distributor to a widget on the air cleaner and from there to the carburetor, and reroute that hose so it runs directly from the distributor to the carburetor. This greatly improves driveability and economy. Other tune-up parts and technique suggestions are in this thread.

Thanks for information ,it's all under hood. The person I purchased the car from removed the vacum amplifier and capped the 2 lines on the charcoal canisiter. I already ran the vacum line from the distrubuter straight to the carb. The lines coming from the intake are going to the valve cover and the firewall for the underdash operations. There is another line from the valve cover to the bottom of the carb. There is 2 other outlets from the carb that are open.

Removed vacuum amplifier means the EGR system shouldn't function — though depending on how the previous owner hooked stuff up without the amplifier, it could just mean the EGR works wrong.

The canister should definitely be uncapped and hooked back up — it's the most efficient and effective way of venting the fuel tank and the carb bowl vent, both of which must be vented.

Where on the carburetor (be very specific; pics would be great) are the two open nipples?
