I got the Y pipe for the Dutra Exhaust.
Magnaflow MPE10758 2.25 inlet/2.50 outlet
And a reducer. WLK-41963. Dynomax 2.5 to 2.25

But there was another bag in the box, i saw the package, and at first thought, maybe a free tire gauge, cool.

Guess they figured a new way to shave some time? corny i know.

The Y-pipe was $26.95, and the reducer was $5.39. Both from summit. The muffler I ordered locally was $45 after tax.

I plan on mocking up the exhaust pipes with pvc, and bringing them to the exhaust shop to have them matched.

I'll have 2 pipes from the manifolds, 1 from each manifold to the y.
1 pipe from the y to the muffler.
1 original tailpipe which i cut from the muffler back.

Then i can connect them, and drive it to my friends shop so he tack them together.

I made an attempt to drive the 2 miles with no exhaust to meineke, but i stalled a few times going around the block. I decided to do the exhaust myself, since tuning the car with no exhaust, then again when it's done will be double the work.

is there an advantage to going two-into-one rather than full dual all the way back with a crossover?

I honestly couldn't tell you.

I'm just going by what i read here and from what i remember reading on the .com site before it folded.

I'm doing it this way because it's cheaper, i know it's going to work, and i can do it myself pretty easily.

Maybe someone else can say what the absolute best way is, if there is one.
