What's wrong with what Hooker is offering? And if there is such a need for headers I am sure Clifford would make a bunch if a group buy were to happen. From the way I understand it, Clifford only seems to hose the ONE guy orders. If they had an order of 20, I am sure they would build them.

Well once I get stationed (will be shipping out for the the Navy on November 25, 2008) I am going to be a AM (Aviation structural Mechanic) and one of the sweet things they teach you is how to weld, both MIG and TIG, use plasma cutters, fix composites, and hydraulic systems, etc. I would like to make individual header tube kits (think 6 individual flanges, with a 2" piece of tube welded on, I may even offer shorty headers, once I get settled in, I plan on buying a decent lincoln or miller welder and practicing till I get it right. I am more intrested in helping the slant community rather than turning a profit, as long as I break even or get a little ahead I will be fine with that.

Hookers are in the neighborhood of $400 and do not fit an early A body.

A group buy from Clifford is an interesting idea.

What HP differences are there between the Hooker headers and the Clifford Shorties? Hooker headers have longer tubing, so, more torque vs. the Cliffords? What's better?

Hi Luka

In regards to you header question the factory only quotes us runs of 1000 pieces. I am not

sure what kind of run you were considering to have made and I would need one of two things

a sample of the header or the drawings that way I can get it quoted.

Let me know

Mike J had a custom nitrous header built for the 'BHD' car. I will not tell you what he paid, but there ain't a swingin' dick on this board that would have written that check, not even me and I'm stoopud.
What would be different about a nitrous specific header?

Tube size and length designed specifically for a nitrous motor.
