were is the vaccume advance? is it the one closest to the manifild faceing the firewall?
My truck has a miss at low rpm but at 1/2 throttle it just dissaperes could this be it?

Miss might be timing messed up (stretch chain, mistimed, distriubtor needs cleaning/adjustment) or something else ignition related (worn cap, rotor, plugs).

Or the vacuum pod coming on too soon at idle providing too much advance. The vacuum pod needs to be plugged into the ported vacuum fitting on the carb so it is not apply partial advance. If you have plugged into the manifold your getting full advance at idle.

got it running much better my 2 mixture screws on my cartter bbd carb were set almost 3 turns out each. Now it's 13/4 and 2, it is running much better. On the highway my truck is pretty slow, i will give that vaccume pod a try tommorow.

Thanks for the reply's and diagram, had a fix vaccume's backwards.
