Does anybody know what the color scheme is for early convertible well liners? The one that is on my car right now is red - matching the interior vinyl - it appears original, but the Layson's catalog states "All well liners came in black". Anybody know better? Thanks!!

The one in my 63 Dart was/is the same color as the interior.

The factory did match the well material to the interior color but if you have owned / driven some converts, you know that black is the best because it does not reflect color up onto the plastic window.

The same thing goes with the top of the front dash... I paint all my dash tops flat black. to cut down on the reflection "image" it produces on the glass.

The well liner was the same color as the interior on my '64, and if you want a match, just take the old one to an upholstery shop, and have them make one. That's what I did, and it was very inexpensive.

Thanks for the help in answering this question! I'll probably order extra yardage of seat vinyl and have the well liner and boot cover made to match. Thanks for the hint about the black, Doc! If I have an issue with glare, I'll throw a black blanket over it.
