Can someone break this serial number down for me on my 62?? Thanks
Engine S/N S22 6 08 2

I also have the numbers from the drivers side fender. The plate is screwed on which makes me nervous. the car is light blue body and white top.

I would really like the paint code broken down so I could take it to a shop and get a quart of the original color if possible. It's had one repaint and a knowledge friend said it had too much metallic to be original.
Thanks.
Joe

Means it's a 1962-model iron 225 engine built on June 8, 1962, second shift.

Can't decode anything but the paint codes for you out of this, 'cause my '62 info is over at the office, and driving conditions are awful right now.

Your paint job is originally Luminous Blue Poly (PPG #12416) and Ermine White (PPG #8293).

Dan, Thank you very much. I hope you didn't get hit with all that ice that hit southern Maine and almost closed down NH. Spring is almost right around the corner. OK, maybe a little further than that but it is on it's way. Mud season will be here before you know it.
Thanks again.
Joe
