Hi, I'm a newbie so hope someone can help, my question is there any differences in blocks with the two styles of rear main seals?
Cheers

The rubber seals (or neoprine or whatever they are) replace the factory rope seals. There is an artical on how to replace the seal and oil pan gasket in the articals section of this site (on home page). Good luck getting the upper (engine side) seal out if you don't have the crank out (took me two days on my back last time I did a rear main seal with the engine in the car)! A tool called a "Sneaky Pete" will help.
