LIke many of you, I've gone through the motions of trying to find replacement wiper blades for my '64 Valiant. Of course, none of the aftermarket suppliers lists a part for Mopars that old. I have managed to make a standard, modern part number work with minor mods, so I thought I'd share the info with you.

I bought a set of generic 13" fillers from Pep Boys. The part number is 21633 and they are made by Rally Mfg, Inc. The major difference between them and the stock unit is the overall width and the width at the slot location. The stock slot measures .220, while the new fillers measure .200.

Since that was the only critical dimension, I squeezed the chrome pieces that grip the filler until they fit as tight as stock. They now fit nearly perfectly and the spear type clip on the end of the filler locks into the stock arms.

At some time in the past, my '65 dart had the wiper arms replaced with aftermarket ones. With this setup, I have found that the TRICO 15-1 make a nice upgrade over the 13" stockers.
