I haven't looked to closely at the tires. The guy I bought it from said they were "new Costco tires." All I know is the brand, Toyo, and the size -205-75R-15.

The car actually handles pretty decently, but leans a bit around corners. I actually did a few "drifts" around the neighborhood (by accident, of course  ). I remember on my old 76 Volare sedan I installed a rear bar from an Aspen cop car and it made a huge difference in cornering. I know I need to look into the shocks at the very least, and the front end seems to be sitting a bit high. As soon as this rain stops (should be Friday) I will crawl underneath and check the front ride height.

Its onmy list. My new intake manifold gaskets from Summit got here today, so hopefully next week I can find a few hours to remove the lean burn and emissions stuff and swap on the intake, carb, and HEI ignition stuff.

My worry then will be the THREE catalytics clogging up, but I probably need to redo the entire exhaust line anyway. My crappy mickey mouse patch was just to get through emissions this last time. I need to have a complete new 2 1/4 inch line made up with no catalytics and a new quiet but free flowing muffler (Walker quiet flow?) installed.

Aaaah, go duals. That car is so quiet inside you won't hear the exhaust anyway....maybe go Magnaflow?

Great car--my nephew drove my Grandmothers 5th Avenue for years...he dubed it the FAV. You either love them or hate them. They DO have a 70ish "Pimp My Ride" quality to them that I think rocks. The boys on Pimp My Ride would probably just wax it if you wanted them to pimp it!

Enjoy your new ride!

Thanks! The problem with duals is the gas tank is offset to the driver's side. Dual exhaust installation would require shifting the gas tank tot he right and fabricatin a new fuel filler neck. Since I plan on swapping to a slant eventually anyway, I figure I would just go to the 2 1/4 full line right now (or whenever I get the new exhaust made up).

Part of the $220 I spent on painting supplies is a polishing compounds and vinyl renewproduct to buff, clean, and shine the rest of the car to match the shiny new paint on the fender and door. I also got leath/vinyl cleaner/restorer to put on the seats.

An intersting side effect of the factory sunroof is that the fabric on the roof isn't sagging. It doesn't sag because the factory headliner is completely gone and the ceiling fabric is suspended by some other kind of system. :)

I need to finish cleaning up my garage so I can build a "paint booth" to do the painting in, then let the paint cure and swap the body parts on. Then it is time to clean and polish. :D

Hmmmmm. I'll have to think about it. It would depend on the style, color, and price I guess.

I've got a great blue suit I could wear with a purple shirt and blue tie. I could then wear my burgundy dress shoes and go rollin' on my Daytons. Get me some Vogues and some hydraulics, then put some dingleberries around the roof on the interior. It's be the shiznit, yo.
