What is the crank centerline to deck height of a 170 block? After that import piston into slant six thread, I've been thinking of making a spreadsheet that will let me evaluate various combinations of pistons, rods, cranks, and blocks, along with various amounts of milling the head and deck, and I was missing that particular dimension.

Don't know what the dimension is, but a 170 is a zero deck height moder anyway I believe.

That should make it easy to calculate. Come to think of it, the MP Six Cylinder manual lists the piston-to-deck height as 0.040" down in the bore to zero. I'll start with the -0.040" and use that to estimate the block's dimensions.

It has been a long time since I built a stock stroke 170 but I think the crank centerline to deck is 9.540

Double check this dim., I don't find anything in my notes to back it up.

I double checked that one, Doc. That's a bit too high as that would work out to the pistons sitting way too low in the cylinders. Perhaps you meant 9.054"?
