I was checking over my engine compartment today and noticed my exhaust heat valve was a little sticky. I fetched my trusty WD40 (I know, I know. ) and went to lube it up a bit. There is a small (⅛") hole in the driver's side of each of the bosses that the flapper's shaft pass through (just the right size for the straw on the WD40 can), so I shot a wee bit of oil in there and let it sit while I was at work. When I came out to warm it up, I popped the hood and noticed puffs of smoke coming out of the holes in time with the sound of the exhaust leak I've been dutifully ignoring (didn't want to waste my Remflex gasket until that sweet RSA intake gets here  ). Anyone else getting an exhaust leak in this area? What did you do to plug it up?

Thanks in advance,

Nat

Can you thread them and put a little screw in the holes?

That's kinda what I was thinking. Only problem is the hole goes through and is met by the flapper shaft. I'm not sure how I'd thread the hole without scarring the shaft which could cause a whole new set of problems.
