Is there any reason to not use the 2.2 turbo piston in conjuction with the K1 rod?

The K1 rods are set-up to use a "full float" pin so as long as the 2.2 piston is grooved to accept pin locks, they should work.
I say "should" just because the pin diameters could be slightly different from one manufacturer to another.
Most floating 2.2 piston pins are .9009 diameter.
Always measure your block's actual deck height, cylinder head chamber size and get the piston dish and compression height measurements so you can compute your actual compression ratio.
It is pretty easy to make a lot of compression with a long rod SL6.

Cool deal. I have a "virgin" block I'd like to play with a bit. Long rod motor sounds like fun.
