Is there a "better than stock" h2o pump for the / or is cooling a non issue on a street/strip engine. I was thinking about an electric fan to free up extra hp or would a viscous type fan be a better choice. According to the Mopar 6 cylinder book the MP viscous fan was up to 10hp better than a fiberglass/plastic type fan. Any input will be welcomed.

Thanks,
C-Dog

I installed an electric fan on my Duster. Works great:

1974 Duster, EFI /6 soon to be turbo...

Get that Monkay! Get that nasty thing!!

The factory water pump has a good empeller. The aftermarket pumps I have seen use a stamped 'cookie cutter' empeller. The OEM I have uses a solid empeller with metal between the vanes to prevent back flow. I use a Flexalite black magic fan, but switch to a steel flex in the summer.
