What size pilot (fly wheel centering hub)does the 68 225 have?I just realized that someone changed the engine in my 61 Val to a 68 and was thinkin that this might be a good thing as im planning on changing to a 5-spd and that the bigger pilot might help as far as selection of flyywheels go. Also ,Dart 270, what did you do for a pilot bushing for your conversion? Thanks all.

68 was the first year for the large pilot crank, you will need to get in there and measure to know for sure because all cranks and blocks interchange / swap-over, 1960-75
Who knows what is really in there at this point.

I believe the hole is 1.815", but you should measure yours as Doc says. I made a cylindrical collar out of steel and pressed an '85 (80s, early 90s) Mustang roller pilot bearing into it (parts store $15), then pressed that unit into the crank hub hole.
