I was looking on the old forums to see which shoe was the primary and secondary. I have posts that say the long shoe is forward and then another says the short shoe is forward. Can somebody please explain this in detail to me as these new shoes are definitely a one-way only install.

You're not really trying to fix your brakes without a service manual…are ya?

How would I know about the primary and secondary shoes if I didn't have a manual? It's the manual that told me to install them this way. But there are no markings on the shoes that tell me which is which.

Per the manual: the primary shoe with the short lining faces the front of the vehicle, the secondary shoe with the long lining faces the rear.

My manual does not explain this. Thank you very much for the help. What manual are you using?
