65 Barracuda with floor shifter / cable op.. 904 trans.

The fluid just pours out of the shifter cable outer cover. the cable needs to be replaced for sure, but should the cable have that much trans fluid pushing against it???

They really can lose a lot of fluid thru cable jacket leaks — try this fix.

Too many people who were born on third base actually believe they've hit a triple.

Someone tried that fix on it already. There is a section 3" long with no covering at all!

Question: I have a pushbutton cable from my 64. will it work with a floor shifter? Its the same length within 1" or so. I haven't seeen the end of the console one yet, so is the pushbutton and console side of the cable the same??
